    2. Thank you for your post. As I understand it Year 6 have already had various experiences in and out of school. The year 6 teachers organised a visit to the Newton Field Centre as part of your work on ''Going with the flow' topic. There has also been a visit to KSA for Year 6 to take part in a media workshop.
This term the Year 6 team have organised for St John Ambulance to come into school and we have just finished a very successful international week. There are also other experiences planned between now and the end of the academic year. I understand that you may feel that you have missed out on a trip in Year 5 however that cannot be said about your experience in Year 6 so far.
If you have any further suggestions please see me in school.

    3. still year 5 will go on them trips.oh year weather outside snow is for fun not keeping people in. I know you are worried about people falling over.if its not safe to go outside don't let me walk home I didn't have suitable footwear.HOW IS IT FAIR THEY WENT ON THE FIELD TO.seven or more people were fed up in are class.suitable footwear is school shoes.in the text it said SUITABLE SHOES (you tell us school shoes are suit able):(

    4. That's brilliant, thank you for your feedback. I am aware how disappointed some children are as I spent time with my own children building snowmen and doing some sledging over the weekend which was great fun. I would have loved to had done that with you all today. However given that we have 470 children at school I have a responsibility to ensure that your safety is maintained throughout the course of the day. A number of children were wearing normal school shoes which on every other day are very sensible. Given that we had so much snow on the grounds it would have been very uncomfortable for the children who were wearing ordinary shoes to go outside and play on the field as their feet would have been cold and wet.
Having given your post some thought I think it would be a good idea if school council and myself put together a ''snow policy' that tells everyone what our systems are when the field and playground are covered in snow. It could also say what footwear people need to bring with them so that in the future children know what they need to bring to school in conditions like today.
If you would like to help put the snow policy together please come and see me.

  8. Our trip to the space centre was great! First we went to the planetaruim. We watched about the solar system and it was really great. We went up in a lift to each level next to the rocket. The rocket was HUGE. Then we went to the workshop and learnt about the sun, moon and the Earth. It was the best day ever!!!!!!!
